BY MIKE BENNIE - WINEFRONT
Choc-berry, mocha and peated wood scents. The palate is soft, lashed with sweet plum, cinnamon spice, a dash of espresso coffee and a bright, brisk, puckering-gummy finish. It’s a winter warmer with enough freshness on its side to get you through a summery barbecue. That, or the lunch break of a Test Match. Anyway, it’s a please many-comers style, plays McLaren Vale shiraz straight with good line and length. Casual drinking, good.
